G1 Cartoon

Hound was an Autobot who was part of the crew of the Ark.  After being dormant for 4 million years, he is rebuilt as an army jeep.  He actually had several functions, surveillance as well as creating holograms.  Hound is the first Autobot to be sent into 1984 Earth to explore.  He is joined by Cliffjumper.  Hound quickly finds Decepticons with Cliffjumper.  Hound uses his surveillance equipment to listen in on Megatron’s plans to take over Earth and drain it’s resources.  Cliffjumper shoots at Megatron and the two Autobots transform to escape from Laserbeak.  They split up, Laserbeak follows Hound, and a drone follows Cliffjumper.  Laserbeak is able to injure Hound with his lasers.  Hound drives off the road and crashes, but he is rescued by Cliffjumper, Ratchet, and Hauler.

Hound stays in the sick back during the first major battle between the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth.  After the battle, Hound meets Spike and they become fast friends.  Hound and Trailbreaker tell Spike all about Cybertron.  Hound also shows Spike his ability to make holograms.  Later, Hound takes Spike out for a joyride in the desert.  When they return, Hound and Spike are quickly dispatched to join a team of Autobots to defend Sherman Dam.  Most of the Autobots enter the dam to fight the Decepticons, but Hound investigates the source of the tidal wave.  He goes underwater and finds Rumble is creating the tidal wave.  The two Transformers fight, but Rumble uses his pile drivers to his advantage.  Hound is covered by rocks and Spike goes underwater to save him (he spent 4 million years in stasis lock, could some water really make him drown???).

When the Autobots went to the ruby crystal mines of Burma, Hound stays at the Ark to guard Ravage.  He would taunt the Decepticon animal with the key to the cage.  He continues to tease Ravage by making a large hologram of Megatron.  Mirage inspires Hound to create a trap for the Decepticons with his holograms.  He goes to Optimus Prime with his idea, and Optimus initiates the plan.  Hound and Mirage talk about a fake rocket fuel laboratory in front of Ravage.  Hound “drops” the key so Ravage can escape back to the Decepticons with the fake information.  Hound creates a hologram of a rocket base, and the Decepticons attack.  Somehow, Megatron knew it was a trap, and only sends junk drones to attack.  While the Autobots were trying to ambush the Decepticons, they were at a different site getting the energy they needed.  Hound joins the Autobots in attacking the Decepticon base to prevent them from leaving Earth.  Spike rides to the battle inside of Hound.  The Autobots arrive at the same time that the Decepticons are boarding their ship.  When the battle starts, Hound seeks out Rumble to get payback for their previous fight.  Hound overpowers the small Decepticon and throws him into a rock.  Then he starts to punch Rumble over and over.  During the battle, The Autobots have the upper hand in the battle, but the Decepticons retreat to their space cruiser.

Later, Chip Chase is kidnapped, Hound is a vital part of the rescue plan.  He uses his holographic abilities to sneak into the lab with Mirage.  They distract Rumble and Bumblebee sneaks in.  Together, the three Autobots work to save Chip.  Hound creates numerous holographic duplicates to confuse Megatron.  Once Chip is safe, Hound and Mirage transform into vehicle mode and escape.  .

The Decepticons are causing climate change by stealing Earth’s thermal energy from the Arctic, Hound is part of the assault team to stop the Decepticons.  The Autobots encounter a new Decepticon guarding the Decepticon camp, the Transformer named Skyfire.  Skyfire attacks and the Autobots scatter.  The battle ends when Skyfire brings Spike and Sparkplug to Megatron.  When the Autobots try to save them, Gears, Ratchet, Ironhide and Hound fall through the ice.  Hound guides them to save Spike and Sparkplug.  They travel through the ice caves, and come across Soundwave and Reflector making Energon Cubes.  Megatron discovers them and they are detained.  Hound and the Autobots are bound to a large crystal.  Starscream wants Skyfire to execute them. Skyfire refuses and Starscream shoots him in the chest.  Thinking that Skyfire is dead, Starscream then fires on the captured Autobots.  When the dust clears, he sees nothing but Autobot body parts in the snow.  Thinking they are dead, Starscream returns to the caves.  The Autobots were saved by Hound who made an illusion of dead Autobots with his holograms.

When the Autobots find dinosaur fossils in a cave, they become very interested in the concept of a dinosaur.  Hound and Spike go to a local museum to learn more about the extinct creatures.  Hound makes holograms of the dinosaur exhibits for the rest of the Autobots.  The Dinobots are created, but they attack the Autobots.  Several Autobots are injured in the battle, but Teletran 1 is knocked offline.  Hound and Spike start to patrol the area for Decepticon activity.  They find that the Decepticons have taken over a dam.  Hound notifies Optimus Prime and meets up with the rest of the Autobots at the dam.  The Autobots don’t see any Decepticons, but Hound promises that his sensors picked them up   Then the Decepticons come out of hiding and attack.  Megatron hooks his fusion cannon up to the turbines, supercharging his weapon.  He attacks the Autobots, sending them plummeting into the water.  The Decepticons bind the Autobots with energy chains, and prepare to destroy them.  Wheeljack and the Dinobots attack the Decepticons, saving Hound and the captured Autobots.  While the Dinobots are fighting the Decepticons, Wheeljack frees the captured Autobots.

Hound and the Autobots respond to Chip’s call for help.  Chip discovers a meteor that is about to hit Earth.  Hound and the Autobots go to an observatory to see how they can help.  Chip tells the Autobots that the meteor contains a significant amount of energy inside of it.  The Autobots want to prevent the Decepticons from acquiring it.

When the Autobots travel to the undersea Decepticon base to save Sparkplug, Hound is part of the team.  Hound and several other Autobots swim to the Decepticon headquarters.  While underwater, Megatron attacks the Autobots. Sparkplug is rescued and the Autobots return to the Ark.  Before the Autobots can catch their breath, Megatron leads the Decepticons to attack them again.  Sparkplug turned Teletran 1 off and in doing so, all of the Autobot defenses.  Since Sparkplug was working on “repairing” the Autobots who saved him, them and their weapons start to malfunction.  Before Megatron can destroy the Autobots, Spike quickly repairs Teletran 1 and activates the Autobot defenses.  The Autobots discover the Decepticons are building a massive Space Bridge.  Hound goes with Optimus Prime and the Autobots to investigate. When they reach the Space Bridge, Megatron orders the mind controlled human workers to attack the Autobots.  Megatron knows Optimus Prime won’t allow the Autobots to harm a human.

The Decepticons are successful in activating the Space Bridge.  It brings Cybertron to Earth and causes numerous natural disasters across the globe.  The Autobots are forced to retreat when Soundwave uses a sonic attack to clear the area.  Hound, Bluestreak, and Windcharger help rescue Bumblebee after he fell in a hole.

The Autobots follow the Decepticons to Dr. Arkeville’s lab.  They transform and travel to the lab.  Optimus Prime and Megatron work together to save the Earth and the Autobots return home.

Hound watches Optimus Prime and Megatron fight each other in accordance to an ancient Cybertronian Law.  Megatron defeated Optimus by cheating and the Autobots are forced into exile.    The Dinobots protect the base and when the Autobots return home, they see Devestator fighting the Dinobots.  After the Autobots learned that Megatron cheated, Hound creates a hologram of an Autobot even bigger than Devestator (and it kind of resembles the Micromaster combiner Sixturbo).  This distracts the Decepticons enough for the Autobots to drive them into a crack in the Earth filled with liquid hot magma.  The Autobots are victorious and assume the Decepticons are dead.

Hound helps Wheeljack test out his new invention called The Immobilizer.  Hound creates a hologram of Laserbeak.  When Ironhide enters the lab, he thinks the hologram is actually Laserbeak and attacks it.

After the Dinobots move to Dinobot Island, time portals start opening up.  Hound goes with Optimus Prime and the Autobots to investigate.  When the Autobots arrive in town, Hound picks up Bumblebee’s energy signature in a pile of wreckage.   After the Autobots dig Bumblebee and Spike free, they see a time warp.  A woolly mammoth and a caveman have already come out of the time warp and are causing damage to the town.  The longer it stays open, the more cavemen and mammoths come through the portal and damage the town.  The Autobots work to corral the cavemen and mammoths, and Optimus reminds the Autobots to be gentle since they are living creatures.  The time portal is starting to close, Sunstreaker uses his blaster to slow it down.  It continues to close, so Hound fires his blaster at it, and the portal opens up.  The Autobots successfully send the cavemen and mammoths back to their proper time.

After a sophisticated robot ninja is stolen by the Decepticons, she is reprogrammed to attack the Autobots.  The robot, named Nightbird, sneaks into the Ark and steals a data chip.  Hound goes with the Autobots into the desert to find her.  After Nightbird defeats the Autobots in battle, Hound uses his advanced sensors to guide the Autobots to her.  Hound tracks Nightbird to a canyon in the desert.  The Autobots transform to capture her but she escapes again.  The Autobots leap over rocks to try to catch up with her.  When they catch her, she battles the Autobots again and subdues them.  Eventually, the Autobots create an electromesh cage and capture Nightbird.  The Decepticons arrive to help Nightbird and acquire the data chip.  Ultimately, Starscream uses his null rays to deactivate Nightbird and flies away.  The Decepticons chase him and the Autobots recover the data chip.

Hound shows up battling the Decepticons in the desert when Megatron creates a clone of Optimus Prime.  He is injured by Starscream during the battle, well a clone of Starscream.

When the Autobots have some peace, Spike teaches them to play football.  The Autobots compete against the Dinobots.  Spike tries to pass the ball to Hound, but Swoop chases him.  Hound catches the ball in vehicle mode, but crashes into Slag.  The game ends when they are summoned by Optimus Prime.  Optimus Prime detected energy flares from under the ocean.  Hound is one of the Autobots who volunteers to go with Optimus to investigate.  The Autobots use their hydrofoil mode to travel on top of the water.  Hound shows that he can raise a roof and has side windows in vehicle mode.  The Autobots dive into the water and quickly encounter Atlanteans who attack the Autobots.  Then, the Atlanteans receive help from Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp, who use their jet modes underwater to attack the Autobots.  The Autobots try to retreat but wind up in a cave.  Wheeljack stays behind and closes the entrance of the cave with rocks using his shoulder missile.  Bumblebee, Brawn, and Hound escape to the surface, just as King Nergil raises Atlantis to the surface.  As the Autobots are trying to get back to their headquarters, the city of Atlantis fires at them with it’s weapons.  The Autobots make their way to a beach and call for help as Atlantis is traveling to attack Washington DC.  Hound meets up with Optimus Prime and several other Autobots outside of the city.  They are able to get inside the city limits just as the Decepticons activate a force field.  When the Autobots start fighting the Decepticons and Atlanteans, Thundercracker fires his blaster at Hound and Ironhide.  Hound teams up with Prowl to fight.  They try to make sure that the monuments aren’t damaged by the invaders.  Soundwave sends Laserbeak to fight the two Autobots, and Hound shoots Laserbeak, causing him to crash into the ground.  King Nergil joins the fight to help Thundercracker.  He immobilizes the Autobots with his magnetic weapon.  Eventually, Grimlock gets the magnetic weapon and destroys it.  Once the weapon is destroyed, the Autobots regain their mobility.  Now that the Autobots are restored, the Decepticons retreat to the air.  After repairing Washington DC, the Autobots travel to Atlantis again to confront the Atlanteans and Decepticons.

The Autobots receive a warning from Teletran 1 that a rocket is being attacked by the Decepticons.  The rocket is carrying a satellite which can be used as an energy source.  The Autobots plan to go to defend the rocket but they start to become evil.  Teletran 1 detects “evil” in the base, and that evil is the Autobots.  Megatron and Starscream snuck into the Autobot base and altered their recharging station to turn the Autobots evil.  Under Megatron’s orders, Ratchet and Hound attack an office building to get plans for a solar satellite.  The scientist who has the plans escapes from them by jumping out a window.  Hound chases the scientist to an alley where she tries to hide in a garbage bin.  Hound is about to discover her when Jazz arrives to restore him.  He picks up the garbage bin and throws it at Jazz.  While Hound is focusing on Jazz, Sparkplug sneaks up to him and attaches a device which restores his goodness.  After Ratchet is restored, Sparkplug and the restored Autobots feel that if they can restore Skyfire, he will be a great asset to restoring the other Autobots.  He is flying over a mile above them.  Sparkplug’s device is magnetic, so Hound loads one of the devices into his weapon and shoots it at Skyfire.  Skyfire’s mind is brought back to normal.  They travel inside of Skyfire to the Air Force Base that Optimus Prime is attacking.  Hound fires the devices at Prowl and Brawn, returning them to normal.  Hound fires one of the devices at Optimus, but Optimus Prime is able to dodge it.  Optimus splits into his three components and Hound is able to restore two of them.  Bumblebee takes the last device and is able to bring Optimus Prime back to normal.  After all of the Autobots are restored, they travel inside of Skyfire to stop the Decepticons from leaving Earth with an energy gathering satellite.  The Autobots want to stop the rocket, so Jazz makes it crash with his sound system.  The Autobots are victorious, again.

Hound leads Beachcomber and Bumblebee on a mission over rough terrain.  Hound notices that Bumblebee is having a hard time keeping up because he wasn’t designed to drive off road.    A park ranger and Spike ride with the Autobots.  Together, the they examine trees that look like they have been eaten by the Insecticons.  The ranger gets a call from another ranger who is watching the Insecticons eat redwoods.  Hound and the Autobots transform to engage the Insecticons.  The second park ranger frantically drives away from the Insecticons and almost runs the Autobots off the road.  When the Autobots reach the feasting Insecticons, they are immediately assaulted..  Hound warns the Autobots and humans that Shrapnel is about to fire a grenade at them.  Instead of shooting the Insecticons, Hound speeds away to avoid the attack.  Hound follows Beachcomber during the battle.  For some reason the Autobots decide to retreat.  The Insecticons follow and try to roll a colossal log at the Autobots.  The log destroys everything in it’s path.  The Autobots run to a stream to escape and are trapped by the waterfall in front of them.  The log hits the Autobots and they tumble off the waterfall, or so it seems.  Hound created a hologram to deceive the Insecticons.  Hound, Bumblebee and Beachcomber travel to the Nova Power Plant to help the Autobots protect it from the Insecticons and Decepticons.  They reach the power plant after the battle already started.  Hound follows Optimus into battle when the Autobots try to make a final push to defend the power plant from the Decepticons and Insecticons.  Hound and Jazz lift Wheeljack out of the debris and place him inside of Optimus Prime’s trailer.  Once the injured are secured inside of Optimus Prime, the Autobots retreat back to base.  The Autobots roll back into action very quickly.  They learn that the energy which the Insecticons consumed will make them explode.  Also, the Decepticons and Insecticons are attacking a facility to steal a combat computer.  The Autobots race to save the Insecticons and stop the Decepticons.  When the Autobots reach Iron Mountain, the Decepticons enter the facility while the Insecticons fight the Autobots.  Early in the battle, Shrapnel fires his blaster at rocks above the Autobots.  It causes a rock slide which temporarily incapacitates the Autobots.  Optimus Prime is the first to free himself and uses his blaster to free the rest of the trapped Autobots.  Optimus Prime and Megatron work together to prevent the Insecticons from exploding.  The Insecticons fly away with the Decepticons chasing them.

The Decepticons take control of Quantum Labs, and by doing so are able to control any Earth machine.  The Decepticons use their control to hijack oil tankers.  The oil tankers are heading towards the Decepticon underwater base.  Hound volunteers to look into the oil tankers while Optimus Prime takes a squad of Autobots to save Quantum Labs.  Optimus orders Skyfire to back Hound up and transport him into the ocean.  Spike joins the two Autobots on their mission.  When they reach the Decepticon base, they see that it is surrounded by a green force field.  Hound gets an idea on how they can enter the Decepticon base.  Jetfire lands on the deck of one of the oil tankers and Hound asks the captain of the ship to hide them.  While staying hidden, Hound, Skyfire, and Spike are able to get through the force field.  Hound, Jetfire, and Spike emerge from the cargo hold of one of the tankers.  They attack Megatron and he calls for Soundwave, Laserbeak, and Rumble to assist him.  Hound uses his blaster to sever the connection from the oceanic platform to the oil tanker (luckily he didn’t cause an oil spil).  Laserbeak grabs Spike with his talons and flies away.  The Autobots throw down their weapons to protect Spike.  Hound, Spike, and Skyfire are detained in a cell guarded by Rumble and Ravage..  The Autobots’ weapons and ammo are taken away from them.  Spike starts to make plans to escape.  Spike finds an electromagnet in the rubble in their cell.  He activates it which causes Rumble and Ravage to be immobilized.  Skyfire smashes the door and the Autobots escape with Spike from their cell.  They work together to disable the force field so the rest of the Autobots can get to the Decepticon oil platform.  Skyfire lures Frenzy away from the controls and Hound uses his shoulder rocket to destroy them.  Optimus Prime leads a team of Autobots to attack the oil platform once the shield is disabled.  The Decepticons face defeat and Megatron sets off explosives in the oil platform.  All of the Autobots escape except Optimus Prime.  He finds Hound, Skyfire, and Spike before the platform sinks to the ocean.  Once Optimus helps them above deck, Skyfire transforms and takes the Autobots and Spike to dry land.

When the mayor of Central City declares an Autobot Day holiday, Hound is part of the parade in vehicle mode.  The festivities end abruptly when the Autobots are accused of being evil by a Decepticon collaborator named Shawn Berger.  The Autobots are given a trial and are found guilty.  They are exiled from the Earth forever.  After their ship takes off, Megatron uses Teletran 1 to alter the flight plan to send the Autobots into the sun.

After the Autobots were exiled from Earth, Cosmos guides the Autobot spacecraft away from Earth.  Hound defends Cosmos’ navigation when Ironhide complains that the trip is taking too long.   Hound realizes that the Autobot ship is on a course to the sun by using sensors in his shoulder rocket.  The ship is destroyed and the world thinks the Autobots are dead.  They survive when Trailbreaker surrounds the Autobots with a force field and links it to Cosmos.  Cosmos guides the Autobots back to Earth.

Wheeljack, Mirage, Hound, Sunstreaker, and Sideswipe travel over the water with their hydrofoils to New York City.  Optimus ordered them to meet him in Central Park to protect the Manhattan from the Decepticons.  Megatron has already stolen the Empire State Building.  Even though Hound is on a mission, he seems excited to see the city.  As the Autobots sail passed the Statue of Liberty, they discover they are being spied on by Laserbeak.  They don’t stop or try to engage Laserbeak.  They continue on their journey to meet Optimus Prime.  Optimus Prime is defeated in battle and captured by the Decepticons.  Megatron takes control of New York City causing the Autobots and the human inhabitants of the city to leave in a mass exodus.  Hound is the only Autobot to voice the obvious, if they attack Megatron, Optimus will perish.  Spike gets an idea of how to save Optimus, and the Autobots follow Bumblebee and Spike as they take an exit off of a bridge.  Hound and a few other Autobots follow Bumblebee into a harbor.  They swim into the New York City sewers to try to covertly save Optimus Prime.  Mirage turns himself invisible to scout ahead, and Hound leads the Autobots with his sensors so they can follow Mirage.  Hound also uses his sensors to try to locate Optimus Prime’s unique energy signature.  The Autobots are very confused when Hound detects multiple Optimus Prime energy signatures.  The Autobots soon realize why Hound is getting such strange readings.  They are suddenly attacked by a robotic alligator made of Optimus Prime’s parts.  The alligator follows the Autobots, but they can’t engage it in full out battle because it will alert the Decepticons that they didn’t leave Manhattan.  Bumblebee and Spike act as bait and run into an abandoned subway car.  The alligator follows them and gets stuck inside.  Ratchet reactivates the subway car and it starts to roll down the track with the robot alligator inside.  Hound operates the track controls.  Ratchet and Hound break into the Decepticon base and find Optimus Prime’s severed head.  Hound is disgusted when he sees what the Decepticons did to Optimus Prime.  Ratchet reconnects Optimus’ voice box and he thanks the two Autobots for saving him.  Optimus’ head is able to send out signals and leads the Autobots to his legs.  Optimus’ legs fly though the air and the Autobots start looking for the rest of his parts.  Hound starts to understand why he was getting multiple locations of Optimus’ energy signature, his body is in multiple pieces.  The Autobots and Spike travel through the sewer back to the robot alligator.  Hound, Ratchet, and Mirage restrain it so Spike and Bumblebee can bring Optimus’ head and legs close to the savage creature.  Optimus sends out a signal from his head which pacifies the creature made of his parts.  Mirage, Hound and Ratchet bring it to Optimus’ head and Ratchet restores Optimus Prime to normal, aside for missing an arm.  Optimus Prime then leads the Autobots to his arm so he can be complete.  Hound and the Autobots take Optimus Prime above ground.  He leads them to the Decepticon controlled Empire State Building.  It isn’t long before they are attacked by Optimus Prime’s own weapon.  Optimus Prime orders all of the Autobots to scatter and transform.  Hound and Bluestreak speed away from danger, but fall into a large hole in the street.  They land in the subway and soon realize that a train operated by Frenzy is barreling down the tracks at them.  Hound and Bluestreak take out their weapons and start firing at the train.  They successfully destroy the train and send Frenzy flying into the air.   The Decepticons are defeated, Optimus Prime is made whole, and the Autobots help restore New York City.

Hound accompanies the Autobots when they watch a demonstration of an experimental drone fighter which was created to help the Autobots. The drone explodes and Optimus Prime directs the Autobots to transform and follow him to the wreckage.  The Autobots are quick to figure out that the Decepticons are responsible.  After a few Autobots are already fighting the Decepticons, Hound ends the battle by creating a hologram of Megatron.  The hologram convinces Starscream and Soundwave to fly away.

The Decepticons attack an observatory to steal a device called the Voltronic Galaxer.  Hound transforms and accompanies the Autobots to protect the observatory and the device from the Decepticons.

Hound participates in the Autobot race for charity.  The Decepticons show up with their new device and use it to trap the Autobots in vehicle mode.  The race ends with no clear winner because the Autobots kicked up so much dust, no one could tell who won.  The Autobots learn they are trapped in vehicle mode when the Decepticons attack.  The Decepticons subdue the Autobots by shooting out their tires and overheating their engines.  The Autobots are captured and brought to Megatron’s ghost town.  Megatron plans on using a crushing device to destroy the Autobots.  Even though Soundwave disabled the Autobots’ ability to call for help, somehow Hound is able to send a holographic message to the Ark.  Soundwave discovers that Hound was sending out a holographic image to get help, so Soundwave destroys his holographic emitter.   Before Megatron can accomplish Autobot destruction, Wheeljack, Ratchet, Brawn, Huffer, Bumblebee and their human friends arrive with a grenade that restores the Autobots’ ability to transform.

After an Autobot rescue team was defeated by the Decepticons, Mirage returns to the Ark and organizes the Autobots to defend their headquarters.  The Decepticons covered themselves with a substance called Electrum which makes them unable to be damaged.  Hound prepares to defend the Ark from the Electrum enhanced Decepticons.  After Powerglide finds the source of the Electrum, Hound goes to the lagoon with the Autobots to coat himself with Electrum.  The Electrum coated Autobots fight the Electrum coated Decepticons, but neither side is able to damage the other.  During the battle, the Decepticons’ Electrum wears off and they are forced to retreat.  Unfortunately, the beautiful valley that hid the Electrum poll was destroyed in the battle.

The Autobots capture the Stunticons after defeating them in battle.  Hound probes their mind and creates a holographic map from their memories.  Ironhide, Ratchet, Hound and Wheeljack respond to the alarm when the real Stunticons break out of their cages.  The Stunticons merge into Menasor to escape.  Menasor lifts up his arms and fires lasers which were under his arms.  Hound and the other Autobots are injured and Menasor returns to the Decepticons to expose the disguised Autobots.

Megatron captures Perceptor to cure his Cosmic Rust, Megatron is willing to release Perceptor back to the Autobots.  Perceptor is infected with Cosmic Rust and is attached to a bomb.  Hound goes with the Autobots to save Perceptor.

Hound's final appearance was in Transformers the Movie. He traveled to Autobot City with Optimus Prime to defend it from Decepticons. It is assumed that he died off screen since he was not in Season 3.

Marvel G1 Comic

Hound was one of Optimus Prime’s original crew on the Ark.  He was shown as a very minor character, usually just in the backgrounds of the majority of the G1 Comic.  He was shown more in the G2 Marvel comic book.

When the G2 Marvel comic starts, the Autobots are still at war with the Decepticons.  Hound is part of a strike force led by Sideswipe which tries to repel a Decepticon invasion on Nexus Seven.  He inflicts numerous casualties on the Decepticons but is then attacked by an immense Decepticon.  Before it can roll over him, he is saved by Grimlock.

Hound winds up in an Autobot shuttle alone, he uses the communications array to seek out other Autobots. He is begging for contact.  In the shuttle, there are numerous dead Decepticons.  Hound worries that he and the rest of the Autobots are descending into madness.  His message isn’t asking for help, but it is a warning for other Autobots to stay away.  He is saved and the madness cured.
