Mirage

G1 Cartoon

Mirage was one of the Autobots on the Ark when it crash landed onto Earth.  For some odd reason, he became a race car when he got an Earth based vehicle mode (I mean how many Indy cars do you see driving around, not a great disguise).  Mirage was intended to have a clouded history and have a little compassion towards the Decepticons.  His allegiance was only explored in one episode.

His first mission on Earth was to join Optimus Prime and several other Autobots to prevent the Decepticons from gathering energy.  The Autobots track the Decepticons to an off shore oil platform.  Once they arrive, the Decepticons attack.  After a brief battle, Megatron damages the oil rig and retreats with the Decepticons.

After the Autobots befriend Spike and Sparkplug, Mirage helps Hound and Trailbreaker teach Spike about Cybertron and the Transformers.  He even shows off for Spike, showing how he can become invisible.  Mirage joins the Autobots in the battle for Sherman Dam.  He tries to fight both Skywarp and Thundercracker, but they are too powerful for him.  They pick Mirage up to throw him off of a scaffold, but he grabs on the scaffold and flips in the air, kicking the two Decepticons.  After the battle, Mirage suggests that the Autobots go back to Cybertron and leave the Decepticons on Earth.  Optimus Prime refuses to do that.  Mirage joins the Autobots when they plan on attacking the ruby mines of Burma.

After the Autobots return to the Ark (after unsuccessfully defeating the Decepticons at the mine), Mirage joins Hound in guarding Ravage.  Mirage wonders why the Decepticons haven’t tried to rescue Ravage yet.  Hound taunts Ravage with a hologram of Megatron, and then Mirage inspires Hound to create a trap for the Decepticons using his holograms.  Mirage is part of the Autobot team that tries to ambush the Decepticons with the holographic rocket base.  Megatron knew he was walking into a trap, so he only sent drones to join him in battle.  While the Autobots were trying to ambush the Decepticons, they were at a different site getting the energy they needed.  Mirage joins the entire force of Autobots when they attack the Decepticon Base.  The Autobots want to prevent the Decepticons from leaving Earth.  The Autobots arrive at the same time that the Decepticons are boarding their ship.  During the battle, The Autobots have the upper hand in the battle, but the Decepticons retreat to their space cruiser.  During the battle, Mirage cloaks himself and sneaks onto the Decepticon space cruiser.  When the Decepticons escape, Mirage reveals himself and damages the ship.  Starscream fires on Mirage, injuring him, but he is able to escape.  The Decepticon ship crashes into the ocean.

When the Decepticons kidnap Chip Chase, Mirage is a vital part of the rescue plan.  He cloaks himself and sneaks into the lab with Hound.  While the Decepticon guard is distracted, Bumblebee also sneaks in.  Bumblebee and Spike acquire Chip, but Starscream is about to fire on them.  Mirage makes himself visible and protects them.  Once Chip is safe, Mirage and Hound transform into vehicle mode and escape.

Mirage and the Autobots track Megatron to a tropical island where he is using slaves to put Energon Cubes in his ship.  Optimus Prime wants to prevent injury to any of the mind controlled slaves, so he sends Mirage to scout ahead while cloaked.  Once the mind controlled slaves are out of harms way, the Autobots attack.  Thundercracker and Skywarp transform into jet mode and attack the Autobots.  While watching the battle, Mirage is shot in the back by Rumble.  The Autobots are about to be defeated when Skyfire arrives with reinforcements. The Autobots are victorious when they destroy Megatron’s ship.. The explosion caused by the Energon Cubes inside of it knocks Cybertron out of Earth’s orbit.  Earth is saved and the Autobots think that Megatron is dead (again).

When the Autobots learn that Megatron is alive, the Autobots follow the Decepticons to Dr. Arkeville’s lab.  When the Decepticons learn they are being followed, Megatron sends Skywarp and Thundercracker to attack the Autobots.  The brief battle ends after Optimus Prime throws Megatron in a lake and the Decepticons retreat.  The Autobots continue to follow the Decepticons, but the Decepticons lead them into a trap.  They guide the Autobots into a canyon filled with quicksand. Megatron assigns Laserbeak to monitor the death of the Autobots.  Laserbeak attacks and Mirage knocks him out of the sky with a missile.  Ironhide freezes the quicksand and the Autobots are able to climb out of the trap.  They travel to Dr. Arkeville’s lab to prevent the destruction of the Earth.  Optimus Prime and Megatron work together to save the planet and the Autobots return home.

Megatron challenges Optimus to a one on one battle.  When it is time for the battle, Mirage is an observer.

Mirage comes under criticism after Cliffjumper returns from patrolling.  Cliffjumper is trying to find a device that the Decepticons stole.  He reveals that he found traces of the device in the same area that Mirage claimed he already searched.  Cliffjumper implies that Mirage kept the information to himself.  The Autobots follow Optimus Prime to find the Electro Cells.  Mirage transforms and follows Optimus.  Cliffjumper leads the Autobots to a valley where he found the Decepticons and the Autobots transform into robot mode.  Laserbeak discovers the Autobots and they leap into the valley to battle the Decepticons.  As the Autobots and Decepticons are fighting for control of the Electro Cells, Mirage grapples with Skywarp.  Mirage tries to punch Skywarp with all of his might, but the Decepticon steps out of the path of Mirage’s fist.  Skywarp restrains Mirage with a half nelson, but Mirage flips him over his shoulder.  Mirage has bested Skywarp, but the Insecticons arrive and shoot Mirage in the back, freeing Skywarp.  Mirage rips the Decepticon insignia off of Skywarp.  During the battle, Shrapnel hits the Electro Cells with his blaster accidentally.  They start to explode.  The Autobots retreat so the Electro Cells won’t be in further jeopardy of destroying the Earth.  Optimus notices that Mirage is wounded and helps him leave the battlefield.  In the Autobot headquarters, Ratchet repairs Mirage’s injuries.  Cliffjumper blames Mirage for the failed mission.  Ratchet and the Autobots leave Mirage to rest.  While he is recuperating, he looks at Skywarp’s Decepticon insignia in his hand.  He sneaks out of the Autobot headquarters and goes to the Decepticon camp.  He sees the Insecticons making more Energon Cubes.  He cloaks himself and tries to steal some of the Energon Cubes, but winds up dropping Skywarp’s Decepticon insignia.  He is successful stealing the Energon Cubes from the Decepticons.  He transforms into vehicle mode and the Energon Cubes fly inside of him.  He drives to the Decepticon base in the valley where they are experimenting with the Electro Cells.  Cliffjumper sees him and assumes he is a traitor.  Cliffjumper is about to shoot Mirage from a distance.  Before he can fire, the Insecticons fly to the base assuming that the Decepticons stole their Energon.  He leaves the Energon Cubes on the ground and cloaks himself.  He starts to hide behind rocks, but is discovered by Megatron and Starscream.  They start to fire their blasters at Mirage.  The energy blasts wind up hitting rocks near the Insecticons.  The Insecticons think that the Decepticons are attacking them and this was Mirage’s plan the whole time.  He cloaks to watch the upcoming battle.  Shrapnel unleashes his shrapnel bomb on the Decepticons but Mirage becomes visible and is hit by a metal fragment.  Mirage falls to the ground and the Insecticons stand over him.  Shrapnel wants to kill him, but Bombshell says he has other plans.  Bombshell transforms into beast mode and injects Mirage with a Cerebro Shell.  Now Mirage is under Bombshell’s control.  Bombshell orders Mirage to attack a Decepticon.  Mirage fires his shoulder rocket at Skywarp.  As the battle continues, Mirage remains under Bombshell’s control.  Mirage damages Thundercracker with his rocket.  The battle ends when Megatron and the Insecticons realize that Mirage was manipulating them.  Bombshell is about to shoot Mirage with plans to kill him.  Megatron won’t let him.  He wants to use Mirage as a tool to finish the Autobots.  When Optimus Prime, Ratchet, and Cliffjumper arrive at the Decepticon base, it is empty.  Mirage reveals himself and lures the Autobots into a trap (remember, he is being controlled by Bombshell).  The Decepticons and Insecticons box the Autobots in and fire at them from above.  Mirage spins out and transforms, he starts firing at the Autobots.  Cliffjumper approaches him with blaster in hand, ready to fire.  Instead, he punches Mirage in the face and lifts him over his head.  Cliffjumper tosses Mirage to the ground.  Mirage won’t respond to Bombshell’s commands so Bombshell is about to shoot him.  Mirage is saved by Ratchet.  When Ratchet examines Mirage, he finds the Cerebro Shell and removes it.  Mirage’s freewill is restored.  Cliffjumper, Ratchet, and Mirage give Optimus Prime cover fire while he attacks the Decepticon base alone to recover the Electro Cells.  The Autobots win the battle when Megatron destroys the Electro Cells and the Decepticons retreat.

Mirage goes to Japan with the Autobots to guard a sophisticated robot named Nightbird.  The Decepticons show up to steal the robot and Mirage joins Prowl when he fights Rumble and Frenzy.  Mirage battles the Decepticons while cloaked.  Mirage sees  Soundwave damage Brawn, so he makes himself visible and shoots the Decepticon.  Megatron aims his cannon at Mirage, but Optimus Prime tackles Megatron, saving Mirage.  The battle ends when Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp rip the ceiling off of the building and steal Nightbird.  Mirage gets attacked in the Ark when Nightbird infiltrates it.  Mirage is about to pass out from his injuries, but is able to activate the alarm.  After Nightbird escapes, Mirage accompanies Optimus Prime and several Autobots when they search the desert for her.  .  When the Autobots can’t see her, Mirage wonders if she has a cloaking ability like he has.  .  Hound tracks Nightbird to a canyon in the desert.  The Autobots transform to capture her but she escapes again. The Autobots follow her and fight her again.  Mirage watches as Optimus Prime tries to restrain her unsuccessfully.  Mirage cloaks and recovers Optimus Prime’s gun from Nightbird.  He gives it to Optimus who shoots Nightbird causing her to fall to the ground.  She quickly gets up and attacks the Autobots with her ninja weapons.  Eventually, the Autobots create an electromesh cage and capture Nightbird.  The Decepticons arrive to help Nightbird and acquire the data chip.   Starscream uses his null rays to deactivate Nightbird and flies away.  The Decepticons chase him and the Autobots recover the data chip.

When a gold mine is being attacked by Decepticons, Optimus Prime sounds the alarm to rally the Autobots.   The Autobots transform and head to the mine to fight the Decepticons.  When the Autobots arrive, Optimus Prime tells the Autobots to be quiet.  They observe the mine and see that the Decepticons have placed the miners in an electrified cage.  As the Decepticons are about to kill the miners, the Autobots attack.  The Decepticons free the miners to prevent the Autobots from attacking.  Megatron takes out a sidearm and shoots at boulders causing them to roll into the Autobots.  The boulders roll over the Autobots, damaging them.  The battle comes to an abrupt end when the Decepticons abduct Gears and fly away.  The Autobots return to their base and the Earth is in jeopardy of being destroyed when the Decepticons are stealing solar energy.  The Autobots travel to Africa to stop the Decepticons, save the Earth, and save Gears.  When they reach the Decepticon base, Optimus Prime orders the Autobots to fire on the Solar Needle to destroy it, even though it puts Gears at risk.  The Autobots’ attack is reflected back at them by a force field Megatron erected around the Solar Needle.  Cliffjumper disrupts the force field by leaping into it in vehicle mode, and the Autobots attack.  The Autobots have the Decepticons at gun point, but Megatron is holding Optimus Prime as a hostage.  Optimus Prime tells the Autobots to disregard Megatron and to destroy the Solar Needle.  The Autobots can’t, they drop their weapons and surrender.  The Autobots can’t, they drop their weapons and surrender.  Optimus Prime convinces Gears to disable the Solar Needle and the sun doesn’t explode. The Autobots defeat the Decepticons and fully disable the Solar Needle.

Mirage and the other Autobots are exiled from Earth after Megatron and a human work together to tarnish the Autobots’ image.  T  Their punishment was to be exiled from Earth forever.  After the Autobots were exiled from Earth, Cosmos guides the Autobot spacecraft away from Earth.  Megatron altered the navigational computers of the ship to take the Autobots into the sun.  The ship is destroyed when it crashes into the sun and the world thinks the Autobots are dead.  They survive when Trailbreaker surrounds the Autobots with a force field and links it to Cosmos.  Cosmos guides the Autobots back to Earth.

Wheeljack, Mirage, Hound, Sunstreaker, and Sideswipe travel over the water with their hydrofoils to New York City.  Optimus ordered them to meet him in Central Park to protect the Manhattan from the Decepticons.  Megatron has already stolen the Empire State Building.   As the Autobots sail passed the Statue of Liberty, they discover they are being spied on by Laserbeak.  Mirage tries to get the Autobots to speed up so they can outrun the Decepticon.  Optimus Prime is defeated in battle and captured by the Decepticons.  Megatron takes control of New York City causing the Autobots and the human inhabitants of the city to leave in a mass exodus.  Spike gets an idea of how to save Optimus  The Autobots follow Bumblebee and Spike as they take an exit off of a bridge.  Mirage and a few other Autobots follow Bumblebee into a harbor.  They swim into the New York City sewers to try to covertly rescue Optimus Prime.  Mirage cloaks himself to scout ahead.  Even though he is invisible, he tells the Autobots to follow him.The Autobots are confused when they pick up multiple signals which have Optimus Prime’s energy signature.  The Autobots soon realize why they are  getting such strange readings.  They are attacked by a robotic alligator made of Optimus Prime’s parts.  Mirage stays back to insure that the other Autobots are able to escape.  After holding off the robot alligator, Mirage rejoins the rest of the Autobots.  The alligator continues to follow the Autobots, but they can’t engage it in full out battle because it will alert the Decepticons that they didn’t leave Manhattan.  Bumblebee and Spike act as bait and run into an abandoned subway car.  The alligator follows them and gets stuck inside.  Ratchet reactivates the subway car and it starts to roll down the track with the robot alligator inside. Ratchet and Hound break into the Decepticon base and find Optimus Prime’s severed head.   Optimus’ head is able to send out signals and leads the Autobots to his legs.  Optimus’ legs fly though the air and the Autobots start looking for the rest of his parts.  The Autobots and Spike travel through the sewer back to the robot alligator.  Hound, Ratchet, and Mirage restrain it so Spike and Bumblebee can bring Optimus’ head and legs close to the savage creature.  Mirage, Hound and Ratchet bring it to Optimus’ head and Ratchet restores Optimus Prime to normal, aside for missing an arm.  Optimus Prime then leads the Autobots to his arm so he can be fully functional.  Optimus asks Mirage to contact the other Autobots for back up.  Mirage and the Autobots bring Optimus Prime above ground.  He leads them to the Decepticon Citadel in the Empire State Building.

Mirage accompanies the Autobots when they watch a demonstration of an experimental drone fighter which was created to help the Autobots.  The drone explodes and Optimus Prime directs the Autobots to transform and follow him to the wreckage.  Mirage accompanies the Autobots to confront the Decepticons.   Megatron is about to fire his fusion cannon, but Mirage sneaks up on the Decepticon while cloaked and steals his weapon.  Megatron takes it back after he kicks Mirage in the stomach.  The Decepticons give up way too easily and fly away.  Later that episode, the Dinobots were severely damaged in a battle with the Decepticons.  While Ratchet is trying to repair them, he complains that Earth doesn’t have sophisticated enough tools for him.  Then Mirage comments that everything was better on Cybertron (I guess he forgot that 4 million years ago, they were starving and were constantly being hunted by Decepticons).  Mirage follows Optimus Prime to a power plant that the Decepticons are trying to control.  As the Decepticons are making Energon Cubes, the Autobots arrive to fight.  Mirage wants to become invisible, but he can’t.  He thinks he’s invisible and attacks Thundercracker who shoots him in the stomach.

The Decepticons attack an observatory to steal a device called the Voltronic Galaxer.  Mirage transforms and goes with the Autobots to protect the observatory and the device.  The Autobots arrive at the observatory too late, the Decepticons have already escaped with the device.

Jazz leads Gears, Ironhide, Bluestreak, Sunstreaker, and Mirage on a recon mission.  They were notified of strange Decepticon activity. .  Sunstreaker realizes that something is wrong when the river they were driving to is missing.  The Autobots follow the dried up river and discover that the Constructions made a dam to divert the river for the Decepticons.  They transform and follow the dried up lake to a waterfall.  They lose track of the Constructicons at a waterfall.  The Autobots search for the Decepticons around the  waterfall..  Devestator sneaks up from behind the Autobots and throws a rock at them.  They fall off a cliff and Mirage is the only Autobot left.  He stares down Devestator and prepares to fight.  Devestator makes Mirage fall off the cliff with the other Autobots by shooting Mirage with his eye lasers.  Before he hits bottom, Mirage is able to grab onto an exposed branch.  He cloaks himself so even if he dies, the Decepticons won’t be able to find his body.  Mirage quickly recovers but remains invisible.  He sneaks into the Decepticon base and discovers the Constructicons (who at the same time were also merged into Devestator outside of the base fighting the Autobots, yay animation errors!) using a drill to dig into the ground.  Mirage doesn’t know exactly what they are doing, but he knows it is bad.  He know he needs to get help to stop the Decepticons.  Mirage rejoins the other Autobots while they are fighting Devestator.  Mirage shoots a cable at Sunstreaker.  While Jazz distracts Devestator with a light and sound show, Mirage and Sunstreaker trip Devestator with the cable.  The Autobots are able to return to the Ark for repairs.  After Mirage is repaired, he goes on a mission that night with a small covert team.  The Autobots want to test out Wheeljack and Chip’s new invention which should be able to put Devestator under Autobot control.  From the bottom of the waterfall, Jazz shoots a cable to the top.  Mirage slides down to join the other Autobots.  Mirage loads Dominator Disks in his gun and shoots Long Haul and Mixmaster with Dominator Disks.  After all of the Constructicons have Dominator Disks attached to them, the Autobots are lifted out of the canyon by an elevator attached to Optimus Prime’s trailer.  Later that night, the Autobots attack to draw out Devestator.  Once Devestator joins the fight, Chip and Wheeljack activate the Dominator Disks and Devestator is under Autobot control.

Mirage participates in the Autobot race for charity.  This is probably the one time in the series that his race car mode is useful.  Sunstreaker tries to race to the front of the cars.  Mirage says that he doesn’t like to show off, but he will for charity.  He speeds up to catch Sunstreaker.  The Decepticons show up with their new device and use it to trap the Autobots in vehicle mode.  The race ends with no clear winner because the Autobots kicked up so much dust, no one could tell who won (but it looked like either Mirage or Jazz was the actual winner before the dust).  After the race, Mirage detects Decepticons approaching with a sensor that deployed from his vehicle mode.  The Autobots learn they can’t transform.  Optimus Prime commands the Autobots to attack the Decepticons while in vehicle mode.  The Decepticons subdue the Autobots by shooting out their tires and overheating their engines.  The Autobots are captured and brought to Megatron’s ghost town.  Megatron plans on using a crushing device to destroy the Autobots.  Ironhide is the first to be destroyed.  Optimus rallies all of the strength he can to save Ironhide.  Mirage is inspired by Optimus’ courage and follows him.  Before Megatron can accomplish complete Autobot destruction, Wheeljack, Ratchet, Brawn, Huffer, Bumblebee and their human friends arrive with a grenade that restores the Autobots’ ability to transform.

Mirage gathers outside of Omega Supreme with the Autobots so they can start a rescue mission to recover Perceptor and Seaspray.  He actually stays cloaked until Powerglide mentions that he wishes Mirage was going on the mission with them.  Then, Mirage decides to appear and reveals that he was there for the last ten minutes.  As the Autobots travel to rescue their friends, they are quickly intercepted by a fleet of Decepticons with Electrum armor.  Mirage quickly realizes something is wrong and turns around to return to the Ark.  He wants to come back with reinforcements.  He turns himself invisible so the Decepticons can’t attack him.  Mirage prepares the Autobots for the inevitable Decepticon attack.  The Decepticons defeat the Autobots, but they let all of the Autobots survive.  After Powerglide finds the source of the Electrum, Mirage goes to the lagoon with the Autobots to coat himself with Electrum.  The Electrum coated Autobots fight the Electrum coated Decepticons, but neither side is able to damage the other.  During the battle, the Decepticons’ Electrum wears off and they are forced to retreat.  Unfortunately, the beautiful valley that hid the Electrum poll was destroyed in the battle.

After several Autobots are captured, Mirage and the rest of the Autobots are ordered to stay inside of the Ark for their own protection.  Mirage watches as Optimus Prime learns that it wasn’t the Decepticons who captured the missing Autobots, but an eccentric big game hunter named Lord Chumley.  Lord Chumley wants to hunt Optimus Prime for sport and keep his head as a trophy (Unfortunately for Lord Chumley, Optimus Prime does not become a headmaster or titan master until 30 something years later).

Using camouflage paint, Optimus Prime, Jazz, Sideswipe, Mirage, and Windcharger disguise themselves as the Stunticons and infiltrate the Decepticon base.  Optimus Prime makes himself look like Motormaster.  Jazz resembles Dead End, Sideswipe as Breakdown, Mirage as Drag Strip and Windcharger as Wildrider.  Wheeljack gives Optimus (as Motormaster) the ruby which the real Motormaster stole so Megatron will think that the disguised Autobots are really the Stunticons.  The fake Stunticons transform and head to Megatron’s base.  Mirage reminds the fake Stunticons to call each other by their Stunticon names, not their Autobot names.  Laserbeak approaches the fake Stunticons to lead them to the Decepticon base.  When the fake Stunticons reach the apex of the new Decepticon base, they wait for orders.  Megatron fires his cannon into the air and the fake Stunticons are unsure what that means.  Optimus assumes that it is an invitation to join him, so the disguised Autobots start to drive to Megatron.  They continue to drive responsibly like Autobots, not recklessly as a Stunticon would.  Starscream is the first to notice something is unusual when he sees the fake Stunticons driving so well.  Megatron assumes they are driving safely as to not damage their fragile cargo.   Megatron completes his weapon and the fake Stunticons want to steal the ruby before Megatron can activate the cannon.  Before they are able to steal it, the real Menasor flies into the crater.  The Autobots continue the charade by using Windcharger’s magnetic abilities to link up as a phoney Menasor.  The two Menasors fight, but the real one uses his sword to disrupt the magnetic lock.  The Autobots tumble to the ground and their disguises disappear.   The Autobots transform and start to open fire at Menasor.  Mirage and Sideswipe fire missiles from their shoulders at Megatron.  Megatron prepares to use the cannon on the Autobots.  Menasor is barely effected by any of the Autobots’ attacks.  Menasor swipes his arm at the Autobots and they scatter.  Megatron tries to fire his cannon,  and it hits a rock.  He tries to fire again but it explodes.  Ironhide had altered the ruby core while the Autobots had possession of it.  Optimus Prime hopes that Megatron learned that he can’t build weapons like that in the future.  Menasor is about to attack the Autobots, but even more Autobots arrive to help.  With the cannon destroyed the Decepticons fly away since there is nothing holding them there.

Perceptor creates a substance called Corrostop.  The Autobots want to use it to protect all of Earth’s man made monuments.  The first monument that the Autobots work on is the Statue of Liberty.  Mirage helps spray the Corrostop on Lady Liberty.

Mirage is seen on Autobot City in 2005. It is assumed he died in the battle since he was not in Season 3 of Transformers.

Marvel G1 Comic

Before the Great War, Mirage came from a line of wealthy Robots.  At one point, he joined Optimus Prime’s crew on the Ark to destroy an asteroid belt, preventing it from destroying Cybertron.  After The Ark crashed, he stayed dormant in stasis lock for 4 million years.  His first thoughts after being revived was “I want to go hunting for Cyberfoxes” (I assume that was an elitist activity).  When the Autobots are debating if they should go public with their existence to satiate their need for fuel, Mirage says that instead of making an agreement with the Humans, they should just take the fuel they need since they are more powerful than the humans.  Mirage quietly ponders that he may be on the wrong side of the war.

When the Autobots are fighting the Decepticons to protect Sparkplug Witwicky, Mirage reluctantly fights, again, wishing he was back on Cybertron doing a “fun” activity.  This gives Ravage an opening to attack Mirage and bring him to the ground.  He was saved by Brawn.  When The Decepticons attack The Ark, Ravage and Mirage battle again.  Mirage tries to convince him that since they are both Cybertronians, they shouldn’t fight.  Ravage continues to fight and Mirage defeats him, finally causing Mirage to realize that he must fight with all of his body, mind, and soul for the Autobots.

Mirage is relegated to a background character for years after this, he is ultimately killed by Octane in the arctic.  At some point, assumed when Grimlock pumped Nucleon into the stasis pods of fallen Autobots, Mirage is brought back to life.

Years later, he is part of a raiding party organized by Grimlock to attack the Decepticon Flagship, The Twilight.  The Autobots are captured and sent on a Decepticon shuttle to the Liege Maximo.  The Decepticon shuttle is attacked by an Autobot shuttle and the Autobots make their move to escape.  Mirage is killed for the second time, this time by a Decepticon guard.
