Commentary-

As I've mentioned in other Studio Series reviews, until recently, I wasn't the biggest fan of the movieverse and the movie figures. But something changed in my head and I started to appreciate both the movies and the studio series figures. Barricade had a larger role in the movies than others. He was in four movies and he was one of the few Decepticons aside for Megatron, Soundwave, and Starscream who actually spoke. In one day, I picked up both Studio Series Barricade and TLK Barricade online.

Bot Mode-

Like all Studio Series figures, Barricade looks like he leaped off the screen. He's a good looking figure, but I don't think he is a perfect figure. Barricade is primarily black and white, with gray hands. His knees are gray and his feet have some gunmetal gray on them. The door of vehicle mode is his shoulder and you can see that it says "Police". His hands DO NOT have 5mm ports. Honestly, I think I would've liked the figure more if he had gunmetal painted hands instead of gray. His articulation is not what I would expect a modern figure to have. He can twist his head, his arms move up and down, his elbows bend. his legs have standard articulation at the hip and knee.

Transformation-

As do all Studio Series figures, the transformation is a little more complicated than a Generations figure. I really enjoy Barricade's transformation. For complexity, I give his transformation a 7 out of 10 and for fun, a 7.25 out of 10.

Vehicle Mode-

Barricade is one of the rare figures whose vehicle mode is way better than his robot mode. Barricade is a police car (not sure of the specific model). He is primarily Black and White with clear windows. On his side says "Police" and "To punish and enslave" which is a play on "to protect and serve" which many police cars throughout the country have. There really isn't much to say about this. I like it a lot though.

Accessories-

Barricade came with a melee weapon which looks like a spiked wheel. He kind of needs a blaster and Frenzy. Also, the fact that his hands aren't like other Transformer figures, I couldn't use a spare weapon for him.

3rd Party Add Ons-

Pros-

Looks really good in both modes

Cons-

Articulation isn't as good as I'd like. And he needs a Frenzy and/or a better weapon.

Grade-

Despite having some flaws, I really do like Barricade but not as much as other figures. He looks good if you're going to display him in either mode. I rate Barricade a 6.5 out of 10
